The Vera Institute of Justice is a key actor on justice assessment and measurement. Its publication in 2003 of Measuring Progress Toward Safety and Justice: A Global Guide to the Design of Performance Indicators Across the Justice Sector was a significant contribution to justice sector assessment. Currently it is piloting a global index with globally applicable justice indicators. This ongoing work can be reviewed in Developing Indicators to Measure the Rule of Law: A Global Approach: A Report to the World Justice Project (July 2008). |
