This instrument was developed in the US for self-assessment which provided an organization with a blueprint for risk assessment, areas of improvement and a general indicator of the organizational corporate integrity. This instrument has been restructured as the first step in the Corporate Integrity Systems Malaysia Framework.

It is hoped that by undertaking the CIS agenda, the participating organization will be able to be more competitive, enabling it to be globally benchmarked and continuously strive for economic excellence.
